The Double Date Us Project

My roommate and I, in our recent moments at home being silly, have decided to post a personals ad for two attractive, interesting twenty-something guys who might want to take us out to dinner. And, I have decided, as a personal treat, I am going to allow you lovely blog-readers to be privy to the amazing responses that posting online dating ads inevitably end in.

Before we can get to the responses though, we must begin with the ad itself. It read:

"Looking to double-date two awesome guys. Must be 24-32. Non-smokers. Interesting. And fun!

About us:

We're roommates. We love good food and good movies and people who make us laugh.

Roommate #1: 5'7". The long haired one. Loves running, hiking and skiing. Well-traveled. Addicted to ice cream

Roommate #2: 5'2". Sassy. Advertising Diva. Creative schemer. Also, well-traveled. Enjoys sleeping, writing and anyone with a great story.

* We only accept responses with pictures (come on, we gave you some!)"

And included two photos of each of us. You can see the ad here.

We've already gotten about eight or so (probably more, since we haven't checked email in a couple hours) responses. Mostly from men who don't understand that the above ad means that we want TWO guys to take us out. They all just think they're lucky schmucks who will be going out with the two of us themselves. Because we weren't clear when we said "two" in the first sentence. Of course.

For now, I'll leave you with the ad. Expect some awesome answering fun in the next few days!
